Dramatic Portrait of a Banana

Story: One day, the fiancé of one of my friend’s brother asked me to paint something for her, no restriction and total creative freedom. After a few days, while I was in my kitchen cooking, I decided to paint her a nice dog, for she loved dogs. I decided to waste no time and start painting. On my way back to my studio I stopped at the dining table, and noticed that the afternoon sunlight was shining so divine on a banana kept on a red cloth, so soft and dramatic, I couldn’t take my eyes off of it.

I admired the setting and the colour so much so that I forgot everything and placed my easel right in front of the table and tried to capture on canvas what looked so ‘divine’ to my eyes.
